40-6M Manually Tuned Screwdriver Antenna

Compact and lightweight, supplied with a 4.5 ft. telescopic whip for mobile and a 10 ft. telescopic whip for stationary operation with better efficiency. Tunes quickly and easily by simply sliding the aluminum cover up or down over the loading coil. Copper-beryllium finger stock completely surrounds the coil maintaining a solid connection as tuning is accomplished. Unused turns on the coil are shorted out and completely shielded. Once tuned, a nylon tipped thumbscrew locks the cover in place. The 4.5 ft. whip collapses to 23 in., the 10 ft. whip to 19 in. Coil and whips can easily be packed into a backpack for hiking or camping. A standard 3/8" x 24 stud in the base makes it easy to attach to a number of existing mounts.
